Sunday April 04, 2004 We crossed into Connecticut today, which means we've passed through two states already. Since there are 14 on the list, I guess we're one-seventh of the way done! We continue to get more good stories and pictures than we can possibly fit in the newspaper stories. Last week I filed about twice as much as I told them I would. I imagine most papers cut that down a lot. Saw the first deer today just outside of Providence and we hit some real hills for the first time. My legs are sore. I'm ready for a nice warm bath - if I can stay awake long enough. Oh, yesterday, I had the first person stop to offer me a ride. He was a scruffy young guy with a pony tail. I had to wonder whether I would have offered him a ride if our situation were reversed. I'd like to think I would, but there's a pretty good chance I wouldn't. That's kind of sobering. Cheers!
