Friday April 09, 2004 Made it through Hartford today. City was pretty quiet. Good Friday. I didn't get to talk with many people, but got a sense that the theme of the next story will be Connecticut's history. Stopped in the Mark Twain museum and went through Farmingtion, which is where the Amistad crew stayed. There's a museum up a steep hill off my route, but I went anyway because I thought it would give some interesting info on Amistad. Wrong museum. It was an art museum. The state's Freedom Trail, Women's Achievements Trail and something called the Millennium Trail all go through Farmington. I know the Freedom Trail. I'll have to check the others on the net. I'll be taking Saturday and Sunday off, which will put us behind schedule. Oh well. |
