Clark's Summit to Tunkhannock

Rained pretty hard today. I hadn't really dried out from Sunday when we started. I'm walking on a Monday because both Travis' and my personal schedules are in flux this week. Instead of taking Monday off I'm walking half days Tuesday and Wednesday, when my wife Pat visits

A lot of people waving and beeping their horns in support. That's really nice. It does make a difference. It's like the crowd rooting for the home team, giving them extra energy.

There seem to be an awful lot of tractor trailers on this stretch, where 6 combines with Rte 11. We're just reaching the endless mountains but already the hills beautiful with the low-hanging clouds settling into pockets on the hillsides. A woman gave me an orange today. That was nice.

Tunkhonnock is an attractive, old-fashioned town (it still has a department store and it's own movie theater) I hope they appreciate what they have and can hang onto it for a while longer.
