Well, the rain's stopped for now. So I guess that's good. But, wow, was it cold today. We're staying at Rough Cut Lodge, a neat place with new cabins, that are really more like hunting lodges. Ours has three bedrooms, two baths and a full kitchen. We have a river running out back and a swing in the yard. Travis got to take a bike ride in Pine Creek Gorge (aka Penn's Grand Canyon). He said it was great. He saw deer, a bald eagle and kayakers on the river. Well, I guess kayakers are considered wild life. I think I walked about 23 miles today (too much) but we're right on schedule for the Pennsylvania portion of the trip. [Check the "Joe-dometer" this coming weekend!] Tomorrow we travel through Galeton and end up somewhere between there and Couldersport. |
