Saegertown, Meadville, Conneaut Lake PA

Today was a wonderful day… with people from Saegertown, Meadville, Conneaut Lake coming out to greet us in droves. I had people walking with me all day.

A couple of college students walked the entire route today. We had an 83-year old woman walk and a man who needed a walking stick accompanied us up a hill. Many, many people came up to offer encouragement.

Many gave me money. It was a really wierd feeling for someone who doesn't like to accept help. But the truth is we'll need help to finish the trip and I've got to learn to be more humble and just say thank you. The gestures are really overwhelming.

Meanwhile, we found so many neat things for this week's stories that we probably will have to put tomorrow's walk into the following week's story.

Tomorrow, we'll cross the state line into Ohio. We'll stop along the way to see the place where the ducks walk on the fish (really).

To the wonderful folks from Crawford County: Thanks for the fantastic welcome! You really made an impression on Travis and I.
