Wednesday May 26, 2004 Lakewood (Cleveland) to Vermillion (almost) It was another long walking day today in an attempt to make up some of the miles lost going through Cleveland. I walked and walked and walked. 8 to 5 with very little time out for rest, food or interviews. But at days end we were behinder than ever. It looks as though both Travis and I miscalculated the milage and were too ambitious in our projections. It's the map's fault! It makes things look too close. Anyway, we're here and we now have two days off - the first time we've had two in a row since Easter. We'll be back at it Saturday Meanwhile, I really liked the story we did out of Cleveland this week. Travis has some nice pix, too. Because of that, we won't be doing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame till next week. We're staying in a house at a nature preserve, where they loaded the fridge with all kinds of goodies. Maybe it wasn't such a bad day after all. |
