Des Moines

My goodness, the hills are even longer on the western side of DesMoines. They're not particularly steep, but they keep going and going and going. Unfortunately, I'm not the energisizer bunny. But I did keep going and going.

I'd say a bit about Des Moines but I'm learning not to write updates about things I might use in stories. When I start to write the story I remember that I wrote about it before, but I can't remember whether it was in an update or a previous story. So I have to go back and read the last couple of stories again. What punishment! Ain't it fun getting old.

Heat hasn't been too bad. We had one scorcher earlier in the week, but today was very good for mid-July. It did get really hot later in the afternoon, but I started and ended early today.

Did I say I had some really good snow cones in DesMoines. We also walked along the sky walk which connects a bunch of downtown buildings. It's air conditioned!
