Atlantic, Iowa to Oakland (Iowa, not Cal.)

Hot, Hot, Hot.

The day started with a thunderstorm (so what else is new), but turned really hot in the afternoon. I mean, really hot. There weren't many trees, either.

But there sure were hills. And these were the steepest yet. Up and down, up and down. Maybe they name this area Roller Coaster County. But we're still on schedule to reach Omaha Saturday.

We met a woman who collects wooden buildings. She has an old church, a one-room school, and old gas station in her back yard. She also owns an old jail she's planning to move to her yard. I'll write about that next week.
