Omaha on Schedule

Arrg! I thought the hills the past few days were tough. Today was much worse. There must have been 20-30 hills today. One after the other. Steep hills. I'm thinking of them as training grounds for the Rockies. I had a different term for them during the walk.

The hills closer to the Missouri River are loess, wind blown soil that piles up. It produces some of the most beautiful farmland I've seen on the trip.

In Oakland, about 20 miles east of the river, there's a little local musuem that would fascinate my tag-sale loving sister.

It was a gorgeous day. Nice and cool. And we'll be in Omaha tomorrow. Nearly 5 million footsteps done.
