You win some, you lose some. Today we won! Absolutely gorgeous weather. I think the high was like 80 - and that was later in the afernoon, when I was sipping a nice cool drink in the hotel. And the hills were more tolerable, too.

It was mostly highway (not interstate) walking today, so I didn't really meet anyone, except I girl who had created a Welcome Joe sign in Gretna, Nebraska.

I think we're just about half way. I haven't figured it out precisely, but I'm guessing we're at about 1800 miles and change. That's about 5 million footsteps.

Just the Rockies, a few more mountian ranges and half-dozen deserts to go.
