Labor Day Weekend We're in Denver for R&R. My wife is here and we're being tourists for the next few days. Today we rode on the Georgetown Steam Train and visited a silver mine. A little sad, the company that's been running the railroad for 30 years will move out this year. A dispute with the state. Sounds like nonsense to me. It was a great, but short, train ride and mine tour. I'll write about it next week or week after. Tomorrow we'll head out for Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. Yesterday we had dinner in Golden. On Wednesday I'll pick up walking again about halfway between Downtown Denver and Golden. Oh, We're staying in a very nice downtown hotel called Adam's Mark. The people here are great! My only regret is that we didn't have time to use the pool. Travis' friend Amanda and his parents are here too. |
