Eagle to New Castle via Glenwood Canyon and Springs. Went through Glenwood Canyon Saturday and Sunday. It was truly amazing walking along he Colorado and beside I-70 which hangs from the canyon walls. The canyon itself is full of delights, which will be in this week's story. I think it's my favorite place on the trip so far. I strongly recommend it to anyone, especially bikers and hikers. (It's about 12 miles, but can be done in shorter stretches.) Glenwood Springs was great too, There's a cavern that you can reach by an aerial tramway (ugh, more heights!) but it's worth it. It's a great little tour. Then take some time to relax in the sulfur pools. You could spend all day there. It was cold and rainy when we went. That only made it better. |
