Tuesday-Thursday September 28-30, 2004

Tuesday was the second full day in the desert. It wasn't too bad. Sun is tough but the temperature was ok. Actually it was cold in the morning.

Wednesday was a writing day. Stuck in the hotel room ALL day - it was great!

Thursday spent the day in Arches National Park. What a place. It's like visiting another planet -- or maybe several other planets.

Hiked up to Delicate Arch. Phenominal. And kind of scary at the end on the ledge with the wind howling and a storm blowing in. Sky was getting dark. Couldn't believe people were still walking up when I was halfway down (it's about 45 minute hike). It was raining when I drove out of the parking lot.
