Thompson Springs, Utah to Green River. [Too Far!]

So far, the desert has been very nice to us. It was actually cool most of the day today - and it was mostly downhill. I thought this would be a good day to do some extra miles, never thinking I'd actually do them.

Well, I was supposed to walk about 10 miles on the highway then get onto a side road and stop about five miles short of Green River.

Missed the side road, stayed on the highway looking for the next exit. Too stubborn (or stupid) to look at the map ("I'll look at it when I get to the exit," he said fatefully).

Of course the next exit was Green River. Total 25-26 miles.

Oh well, it was a nice day for a walk.

By the way, I had turned off my cell phone so Travis was going nuts when he couldn't find me on the side road ("I'll turn the phone on at the exit," he said foolishly). Finally Travis drove onto the highway and spotted me about a mile from Green River.

Unfortuanately, he had to drive about 15 miles east to turn around. By then I was at Green River.
