Sunday October 10, 2004 Spanish Fork to Goshen, UT We emerged from desert and canyon country to Spanish Fork - a green oasis on the edge Lake Utah. We're just 80 percent done now (eight million steps, so far) and I'm getting anxious to get home. Spanish Fork is also a literal turning point. We've been heading north for about 100 miles. At SF, we turned south again. Now it's a straight shot (more or less) to Long Beach. When we hit Route 6 (after it splits from I-15) I got three offers of rides in about a five-mile stretch. I guess we're back with the country folk again. |
