10.10.05 It's been almost a year since the last update to Route6Walk [left]. Joe Hurley is back at home - New Milford, Connecticut - writing again for the newspaper, compiling the stories of the cross-country journey for eventual publication, and guest speaking to audiences around the country about his 2004 experiences along Route 6.

Travis is working in New York City, back to living "a normal life" without maps and daily worries about accommodations and budgets.

The months seem to drift quickly, yet many of the experiences of this simple Adventure Across America live on as if they were just yesterday. Some folks are finding out about the journey just now. Many who were a part of the experience share it over among themselves and others.

The fullness of the accomplishment is… well, somehow ongoing. It is a dream of many to travel cross-country. The reality of doing precisely that "one-step-at-a-time" is an experience of a lifetime.

As the colder New England months approach, we'll all be indoors a bit earlier in the evenings - and the opportunities for revising and updating the webSite are more certain to arise.
